According to a senior doctor, Ayurveda is a holistic science that helps create harmony between the mind, body, and soul, maintain health, and can help prevent diseases such as COVID-19.

Dr Tanuja Nesari, Director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in Delhi, said ANI in an interview that people outside India had a better grasp of the advantages of the ancient Indian medical system in the COVID-19 situations. She claims that Ayurveda can also help with some post-COVID-19 problems.

“It is a knowledge system that promotes a healthy and happy existence by fostering harmony with our surroundings and inside ourselves.

According to a research done at AIIA during CVID-19, the Ayurvedic therapy has an anti-inflammatory impact, lowers swelling, and relieves tiredness.

“We investigated post-COVID problems.” Many individuals experience sleeplessness, irritability, anxiety, weakness, exhaustion, and joint discomfort. So, for all of these symptoms, we have begun research on an Ashwagandha-based formulation as well as a Guduchibis-based formulation. “With our MoU partners, we have begun a multi-centric research not just within India but also outside of India,” Dr. Nesari explained.

She claims it has an anti-inflammatory impact that helps “reduce swelling in joints,” as well as an immune-modulator antioxidant effect that helps relieve weariness and produces restful sleep.

“At All India Institute of Ayurveda, we have developed a comprehensive paradigm known as Ayur yoga, which provides us with mental, physical, and spiritual well-being and wellness. I believe that Ayurveda is the bodily manifestation of yoga “explained the Director.

She stated that the All India Institute of Ayurveda is also conducting research with IIT Delhi.

“We have an MOU with IIT Delhi, and our mission is to promote tradition with technology. We have started various initiatives, such as the Herbal Bio Patch and diagnostic tools. We are currently focusing on creating diagnostic tools for cancer management “She continued.
