The Covid-19 caseload in India jumped to 34,710,628 crore as 6,984 persons tested positive for the illness, bringing the death toll to 4,76,135 with 247 new fatalities. On Wednesday, India reported a slight increase in Covid-19 cases in a single day. The nation reported 5,784 new cases yesterday, the fewest in 571 days.
Meanwhile, the active cases in India have surged to 87,562, accounting for 0.25% of the total caseload and the lowest since March 2020. A decline of 1,431 cases was recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
