Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of a medical college in Bijnore on Tuesday, fulfilling a long-standing desire of the local people.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister declared that the Rs 281 crore medical college will be completed in 18 months. It would be named after Mahatma Vidur, he said.
In a public meeting on the occasion, he stated that with the establishment of this medical college, the young of Bijnore would no longer be need to travel to Delhi, Lucknow, or Meerut to seek medical education. Furthermore, it will provide contemporary health treatment to a big population in Bijnore and the neighbouring areas.

“Post-independence, UP could set up only 12 government medical colleges. In contrast, our government provided good health facilities to the public with 32 new medical colleges built between 2017 and 2021,” he said.

The CM said the long-pending demand of the local people and the public representatives has been met. The CM said that development works worth Rs 1426 crore have already been done here while development works worth the same cost are going on.

CM Yogi said that before 2017, on the occasion of any festivals, riots and clashes used to take place. The previous governments used to play with the faiths of the people. Even, the Kaanwar Yatra was banned. After 2017, there was not been a single riot in UP. Illegal slaughterhouses have been closed. The rioters were warned that their property will be confiscated and they will be fined heavily.

Earlier, the CM was in Moradabad to lay the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 69.58 crore.

Coming down hard on the opposition, CM Yogi Adityanath, said that during the previous governments development was confined to a ‘single family’ and even now the opposition has always worked to cause hindrance in the development of the state.

Before 2017, the government was engaged in the development of a single-family. Saifai was everything to them. Corruption was rampant in the development schemes and recruitments, but today the whole of UP is developing.42 lakh poor have been given housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana,” said the CM.

The CM also delivered certificates and cash to the participants of different programmes from 13 departments at an event held at the Thakurdwara assembly.
The Chief Minister, while praising the state’s development efforts, noted that there were no roads in the villages previously. The distinction between the field and the road was non-existent. In the communities today, hot mix plant roads are being developed.
The sole criterion of good governance, according to the CM, is development.
The lives of ordinary people are ruined by a corrupt administration. Uttar Pradesh has seen progress thanks to the BJP. Public officials in Moradabad are changing the city through development projects.

“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP has become self-sufficient in oxygen production. Moradabad has two oxygen plants in working condition today,” he said.

The CM also mentioned that it is because of the developed health infrastructure available in Moradabad and Ghaziabad that people now are coming from Delhi here for treatment.

“Since the COVID period, the government is giving free ration to the people of UP, whereas the previous governments have done the work of eating the ration of the poor.

The Chief Minister said that earlier in Western UP, the morale of criminals was too high. The families used to be worried about the safety of their daughters.Girls could not go to school. Now, the picture has changed.

“The criminals have been demoralized with the zero-tolerance policy of the government. Daughters in Uttar Pradesh are safe. The government has worked to make women self-reliant. Over 20 thousand daughters were recruited in the police department. Along with being self-reliant, the women of UP are also curbing the crime today,” he said.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the land lease matters of those people who came from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan in 1947, are still pending. The previous governments did nothing in this regard but now this problem will be resolved soon.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the initiative to give citizenship to Hindus when there were atrocities on them in neighboring countries, but the opposition also tried to obstruct it.

He also stated that the construction work of the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya has started under the guidance of PM Modi.
